On Sunday, Cincinnati public radio station WVXU-FM aired "The Who Concert: 30 Years Later" in advance of the upcoming anniversary of the concert disaster there. The one-hour landmark oral history produced by Lee Hay tells the story of the disaster in the words of victims, eyewitnesses, journalists, public safety officials and others related to the incident. It stands as a unique and invaluable resource for students of crowd safety, researchers and crowd management and event professionals.

Ms. Hay explained to Crowdsafe.com the inspiration for the documentary: "With the Who special, I felt that there's a young generation of rock 'n roll fans who may have heard about the tragedy, but sadly feel that it can't happen to them. Therefore, I think it's important for a permanent marker to be put up at the Coliseum, so the 11 victims will never be forgotten. The tragedy was an important chapter in Cincinnati's history."

You can listen to the complete show by visiting the WVXU-FM website.
